Mr. Barnes spent the first part of his career in environmental consulting and engineering earning the Professional Geologist, Licensed Site Professional (MA) and Licensed Environmental Professional (CT) credentials. His last corporate position was leading the remediation and construction division of a multi-national private firm with accountability for profit and loss, business development, account management, staff development and QA/QC of technical reports and conclusions / opinions.
Mr. Barnes has served as a volunteer for the Town of Hopkinton, MA for over 30 years with many organizations and committees' including the Conservation Commission, Upper Charles Trail Committee, Hopkinton Art on the Trail, Zoning Advisory Committee, Hopkinton Boy Scouts / Cub Scouts, and as a youth sports coach for hockey, baseball & soccer. He is a member of the National Eagle Scout Association. His extracurricular activities / interests are working out at the gym, all outdoor activities, oil painting, guitar, and roman / greek ancient history.
Mr. Barnes is a Certified Merger & Acquisition Advisor (CM&AA), Certified Value Builder Advisor (CVBA) and holds FINRA Series 7, 24, 63, 79 and 82 licenses. He earned a B.S. in Geology from the University of Rhode Island and an MBA from Boston College, Carroll School of Management.
